Art
The art category is envisioned primarily as wall art although sculpture is included. The sub-sub-categories are organized by media as well as end product to include Charcoal, Digital Art, Drawings, Mixed Media and Collage, Oil, Paintings, Pencil, Photographs, Posters, Prints, Sculpture and Carving, Textile Art, Watercolor, and Other. Perhaps a better way to initially organized are for sale is by the source of the product. Hence, there are three sub-categories as follows:
Commission the Artist: When you commission artists they draw, paint, sculpt, or whatever, the image you specify. The artist is offering his or her talent to create a work of art for you. So the buyer is paying for the value added by the seller in an agreement describing the final product and the price. This category allows artist to offer their wares, at prices specified, and the form of the final product.
Direct from the Artist: Here you can buy an artist's products directly from the artist. The artist has drawn, painted, sculpted, or whatever, an image that you can view and buy. The artist is offering his or her talent in a work of art that you can own.
From Dealers and Resellers: A dealer is, obviously, a person or entity that sells art, adding value through having it available, perhaps adding the framing or presentation, and providing a selection from which to choose. A reseller is someone who owns a piece of art and wants to sell it.
